You'll also need your Zen's Media username and password (or your phone for Quick Connect).
- Press Home on your Fire TV remote.
- Go to Find (magnifying glass), then Search, and type Jellyfin. Or hold the Alexa button and say "Jellyfin".
- Choose Jellyfin and select Get or Download.
- When it finishes, select Open.
- When the app asks you to connect to a server, choose Enter server address (it may say Add server).
- Type exactly:
https://jf.zensmedia.net
- Select Connect.
Check your typing: it's jf, not jellyfin. There are no spaces, and it ends in .net.
- On the TV, choose Quick Connect. A short code appears.
- On your phone, open jf.zensmedia.net and sign in.
- Tap your profile picture (top right), then Quick Connect.
- Enter the code from the TV and tap Authorize. The TV signs in by itself.
¶ Option B: Username and password
Choose Sign in manually (or Add account), type your Zen's Media username and password, and select Sign In.
Jellyfin stays signed in. Next time, just open the Jellyfin app.
Tip: To put Jellyfin on your Fire TV home screen, go to Apps (the icon with three squares and a plus), highlight Jellyfin, press the Menu ☰ button, and choose Move to front.
- "Unable to connect" or "Server not found": retype the address and make sure it starts with
https://.
- "Invalid username or password": try signing in at jf.zensmedia.net on your phone first to confirm your login works.
- Still stuck? Text me a photo of your TV screen.
